Backyard Tourism Week in the Susquehanna River Valley

The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau loves our Backyard Tourists - residents who explore their communities and support their local businesses. On May 20-24, we will be celebrating you all week long at our new Visitor Center. Stop in and see the new space, enjoy themed days/promotions, sign up to win prizes and plan your ideal summer in the beautiful Susquehanna River Valley!

The new center in the former Montandon Elementary School Building will be opening its doors on May 20th. Stop in at 2733 State Route 45, Milton and help us celebrate our new home and tourism in the river valley. This year's Backyard Tourism Week themed events will include:

• Whoopie Pie Wednesday - Stop in from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday, May 22nd for your free sweet treat from Gable House Bakery in Mifflinburg.
• Hot Dog! It's Friday!! - Squeeze In, Sunbury, will join us in distributing free hot dogs, drinks and chips from 11am to 2pm on Friday, May 24th.
• Welcome to the Visitor Center Reception - Friday, May 24th from 5pm to 7pm. Help us raise a glass to this new chapter in our life with light refreshments and wine sampling from Iron Vines Winery in Sunbury, Shade Mountain Winery in Middleburg and Spyglass Ridge Winery in Sunbury.
