Live Music in the Susquehanna River Valley

The Susquehanna River Valley is a hub for live music, with year-round entertainment across a range of genres. If you’re craving a cozy, acoustic performance, seeking big stage vibes, or hoping to catch an outdoor concert in a park, our live music scene has something for every mood.

Every summer, towns like Shamokin, Selinsgrove and Northumberland host Music in the Park concerts that bring communities together to enjoy local and regional bands. Live performances are an essential part of many annual events in the region, including fall festivals and craft fairs. It also adds energy and excitement to recurring community gatherings, such as Williamsport’s First Friday and First Friday at STEAM Innovation Labs in Sunbury.

The Susquehanna River Valley is home to several theaters and performance venues. Enjoy concerts by big-name acts and national touring artists at the Community Arts Center, which is also the headquarters for the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, who delight audiences with both classical and popular music throughout the year. Susquehanna University and Bucknell University both attract a wide range of musical acts, with some concerts open to the public. Or, come check out local artists at Albright Center for the Arts.

For a more intimate experience, check out the monthly Live at the Gallery performances in Lewisburg, featuring up-and-coming regional musicians, or the Listening Room: Live Music Series at The Exchange art gallery in Bloomsburg. Several local restaurants and breweries also regularly feature live music, including Skeeter’s BBQ, Pineknotter Brewing or the Covered Bridge Brewhaus.
