Arts & Culture in the Susquehanna River Valley

In the Susquehanna River Valley, creativity and heritage thrive together. Our region offers a wide range of cultural experiences, including art galleries, live performances, historic architecture, and community festivals. The arts and culture scene reflects both local tradition and contemporary creativity, inviting visitors to explore and participate.

Institutions like the Lewisburg Arts Council organize events and programs to support the arts in our community and make them accessible to all. Galleries, including Artists & Artisans and Artisan Alley Fine Art Gallery, display and sell arts and crafts by regional artists and makers. At The Exchange, you can visit an exhibition or listen to a concert.

Local creativity thrives in spaces such as the Albright Center for the Arts, where historic venues host community performances, while the YMCA Arts Center offers art classes for kids and adults, giving everyone the chance to explore their creative side.

Creative Experiences & Cultural Highlights

Lewisburg Arts Celebration

Experience the arts firsthand by attending one of our many arts-related events, from live performances to annual art festivals, markets, and artisan gatherings. With several local theater groups like the Weis Center for the Performing Arts and RiverStage Community Theater offering multiple shows per year, there are many opportunities to enjoy familiar plays and musicals or discover new favorites.

But you don’t need a special event to explore the arts in the Susquehanna River Valley. While the Samek Art Museum offers memorable encounters with artists, its gallery is open throughout the week so that you can explore its permanent collection and limited-time shows. We’re also part of the North Branch Art Trail, which suggests ways to experience local arts along the Susquehanna River.
