Winter in the Susquehanna River Valley

Every season is the right season to visit Central Pennsylvania's Susquehanna River Valley and winter is no exception! Bundle up, get out and discover the often-missed joys and beauty of the season from glittering landscapes to cheerfully lit downtowns. Watch the steam curl away from a piping hot drink as you wander through fluffy white trees coated with fresh snow. Enjoy the crisp bite in the air and the crunch of frozen surfaces underfoot. Now is the perfect time to emerge from that blanket fort and enjoy Mother Nature at her finest.

Delightful Downtowns

The warm glow of streetlamps welcomes you to take a walk through SRV downtowns this winter. Experience the sights, sounds, colors, and smells of the season. Thanks to great snow removal, sidewalks are usually clear and your stroll will take you past a wonderful variety of places to stop, eat, drink, shop, and warm up!

Warm up with a hearty meal and and enjoy the best tastes of the season with great winter cocktails, craft beers and spiced wines. Visit Dining in the Susquehanna River Valley, our favorite wineries and the fabulous breweries found on the River Rat Brew Trail.
