Kids Activities in the Susquehanna River Valley

If you’re a parent looking for engaging outings and programs for your kids, look no further than the Susquehanna River Valley. We’ve got kid-friendly events for every season, like the Bloomsburg Fair, fall festivals, Halloween parades, and Christmas light displays.

When school’s out, children can explore their interests at one of our many summer camps. Kids can play outdoors at our parks and enjoy outdoor fun like hiking, fishing, and watersports.

The whole family will love a day at Knoebels Amusement Resort, America’s largest no-admission amusement park.

Or for those who prefer indoor adventures, you can visit Hoopla’s Xtreme Family Fun Center or The Blue Moose.

The Susquehanna River Valley is the proud home of Lewisburg Children’s Museum. Right outside our region is the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum and Lykens Valley Children’s Museum.

In addition to their standard exhibits and interactive activities, these engaging and innovative institutions host frequent special activities, like dance parties, storytimes, STEM programming, arts and crafts lessons, and engineering clubs. There are even sensory-friendly family nights, so children who benefit from a calmer environment can enjoy the exhibits, and toddler time to engage the youngest kiddos. For older adventurers, there’s a career club to explore what they want to be when they grow up, with field trips, special speakers, and hands-on activities. Learning has never been so fun!

Outdoor activities invite curious minds to get outside and learn more about nature and their surroundings. We have classes, nature explorer programs, and scavenger hunts along our trails and rivers. Animal lovers can learn about wildlife and conservation at T&D’s Cats of the World and Lake Tobias Wildlife Park.

No matter your child’s age or interests, the Susquehanna River Valley has programs and activities to keep them entertained and inspired. Explore the options below for more detailed information about our full range of kids’ activities.
