Sip and Stroll

Join us for the second annual Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival Sip and Stroll, Friday, February 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Stroll Market Street in downtown Lewisburg and stop at 10+ downtown businesses to enjoy a sample of wine, beer, spirits, and snacks. 

  • We will be selling a maximum of 400 tickets for the event
  • Tickets purchased prior to the event are $35.  You may purchase tickets here online via credit card or come into our offices at 328 Market St. to pay by cash or check.
  • Tickets purchased the day of the event are $40.
  • Each ticket holder will receive a reusable cup, a map of the event, and a bag of snacks and other goodies.
  • Registration will be located at 328 Market Street.  To participate in the stroll you must stop at 328 Market Street to verify that you are over 21 (valid ID is required whether you are 21 or 101) and receive a wristband to show at each location on the stroll
  • Participating Purveyors include:  Whispering Oaks Vineyard, Nomad Distillery, Shade Mountain Winery, Iron Vines Winery, Fero Vineyards, Brasserie Louis, Pour Decisions Distillery, Union Cellars, Kulpmont Winery, and Hungry Run Distillery

Pre-Plunge Party and Polar Bear Plunge

Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 noon to 2:30 PM

The 20th Annual Lewisburg Polar Bear Plunge will be held on February 3rd, 2024. There are a variety of ways to celebrate and support Lewisburg Neighborhoods -- buy your tickets here. From 12-2pm, we will be hosting the Pre-Plunge Party hosted at the Brasserie Louis (101 Market St.). Tickets start at $20 with limited availability. At 2:15pm, the Parade will start at the intersection of Market & South Front and go all the way down to St. George Street. Come and march! Starting at 2:30pm, the 20th Annual Polar Bear Plunge will happen at the intersection of South Front Street and Saint George Street, Lewisburg PA! Bigfoot Country will be broadcasting live.

Please be advised that Early Bird sales end January 31st and cost $10 each (afterwards tickets cost $15/person) -- beanies commemorating the plunge cost an additional $10/hat. Buy your tickets here!

 

Ice Festival Weekend

Celebrate Winter at the 20th Annual Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival
Friday, February 2nd - Sunday, February 4th, 2024

Come see the downtown sparkle and shine with magnificent ice sculptures at the Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival. Watch as masterful ice sculptors bring to life their transient works of art!

This multi-day celebration promises a flurry of exciting events and activities for the whole family including the Frosty 5K Run / Walk, Pre-Plunge Party, Plunge Parade, and Polar Bear Plunge in the Susquehanna River! Enjoy children’s activities and a free movie at the Campus Theatre
Ice Festival Sip and StrollChili Cook-offChocolate Tour and Gala, and of course live ice carving and ice sculptures throughout town. 

Cozy shops and boutiques will be open. Restaurants will welcome you to indulge in warming drinks and food.

Schedule of Events:

Friday, February 2nd:

10am: Ice Carving Begins
Witness the artistry of ice carving as talented sculptors from First Night State College Ice
Sculptors, showcase their skills in front of the Post Office as they carve the Bucknell Bison,
sponsored by Bucknell University. The spectacle continues in front of Hufnagle Park, as the
sculptors work on the feature sculpture sponsored by Evangelical Community Hospital. Also
keep your eyes out for Weis Markets’ wishing well!


Join us at the 2nd Annual Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival Sip and Stroll from 4-7pm sponsored by the Lewisburg Downtown Partnership and the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau.  Also, from 4pm to 7pm, the Donald Heiter Community Center is hosting a delectable Chocolate Lovers Gala.

Teen and Tween Chocolate Lovers won't want to miss a showing of WONKA at the Campus Theatre at 7pm. 


Saturday, February 3rd:

8am: Frosty 5K
Lace up your running shoes for the Frosty 5K sponsored by Weis Markets and presented by Sunset Rotary. Registration begins at 8am, and the race kicks off at 9:30am in front of the Campus Theatre.

10am: Ice Carving Continues
Marvel at the ongoing ice carving festivities.

10 - 2pm: Children's Activities
Bring the little ones for a day of fun. More detail to follow.
1pm: Join us for the Family-Friendly Ice themed movie: FROZEN at the Campus Theatre.

2pm: Polar Bear Plunge, Pre-Plunge Party, & Parade
The Pre-Plunge Party starts at 12pm at the Brasserie Louis followed by the Plunge Parade which will march from the corner of Market and Front streets to the St. George Street landing followed by the Polar Bear Plunge at 2:30pm. Take the plunge for a good cause! Sponsored by the Susquehanna River Valley Visitor's Bureau and Gilson Snow, the Polar Bear Plunge benefits Lewisburg Neighborhoods.

2:30pm: Chili Cook-Off
Spice things up at the Chili Cook-Off at the Bull Run Tap House (605 Market St.), brought to you by Sunrise Rotary. Also enjoy making your own smores over an open fire outside of the Bull Run on South 6th Street.

6 - 10pm: Chocolate Lovers Gala
Conclude the festivities with the Chocolate Lovers Gala at the Lewisburg Hotel at 6pm, benefiting the Donald Heiter Community Center. Preorder your tickets at donaldheiter.org.


Sunday morning we suggest wrapping up the weekend with a warm breakfast, brunch, or lunch then check out the ice sculptures!
