We’re in the thick of the holiday season. How are you faring? Do you need a peppermint tea…or maybe a hot toddy?
If your list includes someone who “seems to have everything” you might be feeling a bit flustered.
Here’s a suggestion: consider shopping at one of the Susquehanna River Valley’s vintage or antique shops for treasures that align with your gift recipient’s pastimes, interests, or passions (past or present).
Better yet, maybe you’ll find something sentimental or nostalgic that evokes an extra special memory between the two of you.
If you take a little extra time to think through your gift giving, it will mean even more to your friend or loved one.
Yes, we know - it’s easy to order online and have items delivered to your door, but when you shop local, you’re supporting a neighbor, as well as their family, and their employees’ families.
So, let’s get started!
The SRV is filled with shops offering everything from rustic farmhouse decor to mid-century modern finds and vintage collectibles.
Here are a few antique shops in our region that offer one-of-a-kind finds in every nook and cranny of their shops:
Silvermoon Antique Mall (Lewisburg)
Located next to the Route 15 Flea Market, this unique Antique Mall has an eclectic mix of antiques, crafts, furniture, toys, textiles, records and collectibles of many kinds. One of the best aspects of this destination is that you’ll find antiques that are well over 100 years old, as well as some primitives and holiday décor – all in one space!
The extensive Plaza includes Silver Moon Antique Mall and Collectibles, Silver Moon Consignment Barn and Antiques, and Lewisburg Antiques.
Located in a historic woolen mill, this mall features 375 shops and is designed to reflect an indoor old town streetscape complete with a recreated antique bank teller window, park benches and vintage streetlights.
There’s also an on-site restaurant that offers homecooked meals, sandwiches and salads, so you can browse, dine, then browse some more. The Street of Shops also offers a large indoor flea market on the lower level with (literally) floor to ceiling treasures to uncover.
Roller Mills Marketplace (Lewisburg)
Here, visitors will find 400 antique dealers inside an 1880s restored flour mill. Conveniently located one block off Route 15, this 5-story red mill is visible from the intersections of Route 15 and Saint Mary Street. Wear comfy shoes to explore this 60,000 square foot destination that sprawls over 3 massive floors.

The Cottage on Pine is full of color and charm to provide a delightful shopping experience that brings the quality and excellence of yesterday’s treasures into today’s home. Are you ready to treasure hunt yet?
If you’re short on time or patience (we’ve all been there!), consider a gift card to one of these wonderful antique shops. Your gift recipient will have fun exploring on their own AND they’ll remember your generosity and thoughtfulness every time they gaze at their special gift.
