MILTON, PA - Cyclists and adventure-seekers came together to explore the region’s gravel roads and historic landscapes for unPAved of the Susquehanna River Valley 2025. This year’s event, held October 10-13, drew more than 800 riders from 28 states, showcasing the Susquehanna River Valley as a premier cycling destination in Pennsylvania.
Participants embraced the challenge of traversing the scenic backroads while discovering charming small towns along the way. Riders of all skill levels enjoyed the camaraderie and freedom of exploring the Susquehanna River Valley away from the bustle of paved roads. unPAved attendees were treated to interactive activities, live music, scenic stops and local attractions, creating memories that participants will carry long after the last mile.
The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau (SRVVB) was proud to serve as a title sponsor, supporting the event and helping participants discover local communities and businesses.
“unPAved offers a unique way for people to experience the Susquehanna River Valley,” said Judy Machesic, SRVVB Interim Director. “We’re proud to support an event that brings people together while enjoying the region’s natural beauty, vibrant communities and growing reputation as a top cycling destination.”
The event was held in conjunction with Lewisburg’s Fall Festival, which added a festive atmosphere for riders and visitors alike, connecting them with arts, food and family-friendly activities throughout Lewisburg.
The 2025 event generated a significant boost to the local economy supporting hotels, restaurants, shops and other local businesses while highlighting the region’s local charm, warm hospitality and wealth of unforgettable experiences.
“Beyond the dollars, it strengthened community connections and highlighted all of the outdoor recreation that our region has to offer,” added Machesic.
With a successful 2025 edition in the books, unPAved of the Susquehanna River Valley continues to grow as a must-attend event for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
“The eighth edition of unPAved of the Susquehanna River Valley was our most successful yet," said Dave Pryor, Co-Founder and Event Director. "The weather came through for our riders and it was a beautiful day in the farmlands and forests. Everyone raved about how welcoming the community is and can't wait to come back for the 2026 unPAved on October 11th -- or sometime before then for a vacation!"
Plans are already underway for 2026, promising even more engaging experiences and the celebration of premier #IPAgravel (Incredible PA Gravel) through forest hills and idyllic farm country of Central PA’s Susquehanna River Valley.
