MILTON, PA - The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau (SRVVB), which promotes tourism in Snyder, Union and Northumberland counties, recently honored two standout members for their commitment and dedication to the region’s tourism industry.

The Campus Theatre Receives Dan Baylor Award

The Dan Baylor Award is presented annually to an individual or organization demonstrating exemplary entrepreneurial spirit in promoting tourism in the Susquehanna River Valley. The award honors Dan Baylor, one of the founders of tourism promotion in the region.

The Campus Theatre, located in downtown Lewisburg, has long been a cornerstone of arts and culture in the Susquehanna River Valley. As one of the few remaining single-screen art deco movie palaces in the country, the theatre provides a unique and memorable experience for residents and visitors alike. Through a diverse lineup of films, special screenings, and community events, The Campus Theatre continues to draw audiences from across the region and beyond, enhancing the Valley’s reputation as a vibrant cultural destination.

Valley of Lights at Little Mexico Campground Honored with Herb Bendt Award

Valley of Lights at Little Mexico Campground in Winfield has quickly become a beloved seasonal attraction, drawing visitors from near and far to experience its festive drive-through holiday light display. Featuring thousands of dazzling lights and creative displays, the event has grown in popularity each year, bringing increased visitation to the region during the winter season. Its family-friendly atmosphere and strong community support make it a standout contributor to the Valley’s tourism economy.

“The Campus Theatre and Valley of Lights exemplify the creativity, passion and dedication that drive tourism in the Susquehanna River Valley,” said Judy Machesic, SRVVB Interim Director. “We are proud to recognize their contributions and the positive impact they have on our communities and visitors alike.”
