Who is organizing Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week?

Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week is being organized by the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau (SRVVB). SRVVB is the official tourism promotion agency for Snyder, Northumberland and Union Counties and creates economic impact and supports jobs by marketing the tri-county region to potential visitors. Visitor spending on food and beverage in the region is more than $91 million dollars!  

We are already participating in another restaurant week. How is this any different?

The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau Restaurant Week program is providing you another opportunity to drive business to your restaurant. Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week will be promoted as part of the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau’s marketing plan driving locals and tourists from Pennsylvania and nearby States to dine in the Susquehanna River Valley!

How will Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week be promoted?

Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week will be promoted through targeted social media posts, print and digital ads, e-newsletters, the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau website, its own URL and printed marketing materials.

The Visitors Bureau will create PDFs of your submitted menus to post on Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week’s dedicated web site AND will be sent to you prior to March 13, 2020 for you to print and distribute to your patrons during Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week and to post on your web sites and social media outlets.

The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau will also provide participating restaurants with complimentary coasters, table tents and posters to promote Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week beginning March 13, 2020.

Does our restaurant need to accept reservations during Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week?

No, your restaurant does not need to accept reservations during Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week; however, it is strongly encouraged.

What is the cost to participate?

For SRVVB member marketing partners, there is no cost to participate in Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week.

Who can participate?

If you are a member restaurant of the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau, or are willing to partner with one of our member restaurants, wineries or breweries to create VIP or pop-up unique dining experiences specifically for Susquehanna River Valley Restaurant Week, we invite you to participate. Please visit the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau’s Restaurant Week Participant Requirements, Agreement and Deadline’s page for further requirements for participation.

What are the key deadlines I need to know?

All participant applications, along with final menus must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 to be included in Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau Restaurant Week. All marketing materials must be displayed in your restaurant beginning on Friday, March 13, 2020.
