Who's ready for summer adventure fun? Join LCM for a summer of learning, imagination, and play. Weekly themed camps are available for children of all ages. Stay tuned for more camps to be added.

Camp Registration Information:

The LCM  reserves the right to cancel classes or programs for low enrollment, severe weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event the LCM cancels a program, participants will be notified and registration will be refunded. Camp transfers are possible on a case by case basis. Space in each session is limited. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.


Camps Include:

Arts Exploration- Each day campers will  meet an artist working in our community and become inspired by their art and process. Campers will work with paint, clay, textiles, and other materials in a safe and welcoming environment. Learners will be encouraged to try new things and embrace their mistakes. Learning from each step of the process and exploring the wonderful world of art!  Recommended for children ages 8-12.

Little Artist- Our littlest artists will have the opportunity to let their creativity shine in this preschool aged art camp. Prepare for lots of fun with your child as they go on a color journey with different mediums in a fun and safe atmosphere. Learners will explore the color wheel through various projects, sensory art activities, and maybe even see a rainbow up close! Recommended for children ages 3-5 years old and their caregivers

"The Physics of..." - Explore the world around us through physics! Students will design and conduct experiments to understand the natural forces that impact our Universe. Students will also explore how humans apply these observations and how these laws affect us each day.

Around the World- Set sail on a learning journey that takes us around the world!  Each day, children and their caregivers will learn about a new country‚Äôs climate, culture, and language, as well as enjoy hands-on activities and taste-testing popular foods from these countries. Recommended for children ages 3-6 years old.

Robotics- Have a robotics enthusiast? This camp is for you!  Working in small teams, campers will build and code an innovative VEX robot to complete a challenge. Campers will unlock their curiosity and imagination using this snap-together, toolless system. Recommended for ages 9-11 years old.

Engineering- Stem at LCM Are you ready to think like an Engineer? This camp will offer an unique opportunity for students to be immersed in the vast variety of engineering disciplines, while learning how engineers tackle the problems that people face everyday.  Different activities and demonstrations will be provided daily, with special presentations by Bucknell University professors. Recommended for ages 5 - 8 years old.

Music's the Balm- Music's the Balm celebrates family music-making with Music Together Family Class, a 45 minute internationally renown movement and music experience shared by all kinds of families with young children. Music the Balm's instructor, Ms. Rachel, guides your family as they sing, dance, play instruments, chant, and find your silly side along with other families, making a music experience designed to inspire your youngster's development. For infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, Music Together gives you, the parent/caregiver, the tools to explore music's elements with your kiddo in a fun, lighthearted space that brings love and expression into music-making. Join us for family time that your child will crave! This class is for children birth to five years old.

Grow It, Eat It- In cooperation with the Penn State Master Gardeners' program and Penn State Extension, this camp will teach young explorers about gardening and plants! Get the inside scoop on the journey from farm to table, composting, gardening tips, making healthy and nutritious snacks straight from the garden, and more! Also, take a field trip to the Lewisburg Community Garden (in partnership with Bucknell University) to tour their facilities and learn more about gardening in our community.  Parents will provide transportation to these sites. Siblings are welcome with parent attendance on field trip outings.  Recommended for children ages 6-10 years old.

Design a Toy- Design your own toys! In this workshop, explore how to bring fun toy ideas to life through curiosity, imagination, and creativity. Each day, young designers will leave with a toy they have designed and built. They will explore a variety of construction materials (paper, cardboard, wood, fabric, etc.), while also tinkering with several types of traditional toys (robots, plushies, construction, etc.). Throughout the camp, children will work collaboratively and individually. Drop off is available, but parents are welcome to stay and play! Parents are also invited to join their child on the final day for the Lewisburg Children's Museum Toy Expo to play-test the toy prototypes. Recommended for ages 7 and up.
