Winter hours are coming!

Starting Monday, September 6, LCM Winter hours will take effect. The LCM will be closed on Wednesdays, BUT we will be expanding our weekend hours to include Sundays for more weekend play!

Friday, Sept. 24โ‹…4 pm โ€“ 6 pm Itโ€™s time for an extra chill family outing with the LCM during the LCM Summer Chill Series (last Fridays in August, & September). Frozen treats to be enjoyed in the courtyard, weather permitting; fun STEM activities throughout the museum for the whole family; and half price admission! Sponsored by Geisinger. Register at: 


Weeklyโ‹…10:30 โ€“ 11:00am Toddler Time is an interactive program for children ages 2-5 and their caregiver. Toddler Time includes a story, sing-a-long, and/or hands-on learning activities. Program is included with general admission or membership.

Weekly on Saturdaysโ‹…10:30am โ€“ 12:30pm  Each week we'll explore a different STREAM theme- Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, or Math- where you can participate in an activity, experiment, or craft at the museum. This program is free with general admission or membership and recommended for ages 4 and up.

Classes are back!
Our littlest artists will have the opportunity to let their creativity shine in this preschool aged nature themed art class. Prepare for lots of fun with your child as they go on a nature journey with different mediums.  Recommended for children ages 4-6 years old and their caregivers weekly on Fridays, September 10 through October 1 at 10:00 am-10:30 am.  Masks are required.  This class will be held outside in the courtyard of the LCM, weather permitting.
Win a free snowboard!

See your original artwork on a Gilson Snowboard. Download the snowboard template and get creative! Submit your design by September 30th to the Lewisburg Children's Museum to be eligible to win a Gilson Snowboard and a behind the scenes experience to create your board. Only original artwork may be submitted. Gilson retains the right to use winning contest entries for promotional purposes. Contest recommended for children 8-14 years old. Design winners will be determined by a panel of judges who are looking for creative designs, not necessarily advanced artwork. Keep it โ€œcoolโ€ and let yourself shine through in your design.  Grand prize winner receives free snowboard and VIP experience, with second and third place prizes. Registration is required. Cost to enter is $15 per registrant and supports the LCM.

Meet Erin!

Have you seen a new face around the LCM? It is Erin Ohlfs, the LCM's Visitor Services Coordinator. We are so thrilled to have Erin join our team. Erin is a graduate of Lewisburg Area High School and is thrilled to be working at the Lewisburg Childrenโ€™s Museum in her alma mater facility. She has been working in the non-profit arena for the past seven years, thriving in job roles as an office manager, admissions director, project manager, and event planner. After living in California for the past eight years Erin has recently relocated to Lewisburg with her husband. She is a woman of many passions including but not limited to, reading, writing, traveling, exploring, gardening, and quality time with friends and family. Say "hi" the next time you see her!


Join our Team We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to help the LCM continue to grow and serve children and families in our area. This position is a part time 20-25 hour a week, key-holding position. Security clearances and ability to work some weekend and evening hours required. Reports to the Executive Director. Wage range: $10-$12 per hour.

Kids Night at the Museum
Friday, October 8โ‹…4:30 โ€“ 7:30pm
Kids ages 6 to 12 years old are invited to explore exhibits, experience special programming, and enjoy a pizza dinner and movie. Caregivers can enjoy a stress and child-free evening on the town while children have an entertaining experience of their own exploring the LCM. Cost is $25 for the first child and $15 for each additional child. Register here.

Join a National Geographic Educator and Environmental Educator from the Union County Conservation District as they lead children in an interactive outdoor learning adventure on stream ecosystems and the many aquatic organisms that live within them. Recommended for children ages 5 and up.

Program held at the Dale Engle Walker property on Buffalo creek (Trail Head parking lot). Participants should dress appropriately for getting wet and exploring water. Masks are required and COVID precautions will be followed. This event is $10 per child. This is a drop-off program. Space is limited. Register here.
