The Bloomsburg Children's Museum, 2 W. 7th Street, Bloomsburg, is pleased to announce its April programs.

The Children’s Museum follows the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s guidelines for COVID mitigation. Masks are required for entry for anyone over the age of 2. The Museum has enacted a strict sanitation schedule to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our guests. You can learn more about our efforts at our website

Keep America Beautiful
Help keep America beautiful by learning to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! Kids will get a chance to create their own craft from recycled materials. Free with regular admission.

Chick and Bunny Day
Our favorite spring program is back! Come see baby chicks, chicks hatching, and this year - baby bunnies and lambs too! We will also have chick and bunny-themed crafts and games. Free with Regular Admission.

National Farm Animal Day
We are going to visit Old McDonald's farm and learn about his animals. Free with regular admission.

This Day in History: 1950 "Peter Pan"
On April 24th, 1950 "Peter Pan" debuted on Broadway. Join us as we learn about this early production that later turned into a famous Disney movie. Free with Regular Admission.

2021 Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire
The Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire® is a FREE Bloomsburg Children's Museum organized event hosted on Saturday, April 17th. This is a one‐day, family‐friendly event that celebrates arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology projects, and the Do‐It‐Yourself (DIY) mindset. It's for resourceful, creative people who like to tinker and love to make things. Craftsmen, artisans, performers, homesteaders, crafters, inventors, thinkers, and doers are welcome to apply to be Makers. The Faire will showcase cutting-edge technology such as 3D printing and robotics, but also have more traditional trades such as woodworking, fine arts, and sewing crafts. Learn more at

Earth Day Community Drum Circle
Join us as we celebrate Earth Day 2021 with a community drum circle in Bloomsburg's town park! No musical experience is needed, and all ages are welcome to join. Come and discover the joy of making music in a fun and engaging environment where connection, communication, collaboration, and creativity become the building blocks for celebrating community. This drum circle will take place in Bloomsburg Town Park in front of the bandshell.

Nerf Modification Club, Saturday, April 3 and 24, 1-3 p.m.
Join the museum for this NEW club! Modifying your Nerf blaster is a fun and interesting way to expand on your new hobby. When done safely, modding can be a fun lesson in physics and mechanics. Register online at


Let's Dance with Miss Sayre, Saturday, April 10, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
In these classes, students will join Miss. Sayre to learn the basics of dance. Students will be introduced to music and dance through creative movement. Learn the beginning techniques to becoming a dancer. Movement, lyrics, and social awareness are awakened through this class. Students ages 4-7.Register online:


Anime & Cartoon Digital Drawing: Saturday, April 10, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Learn the basics of digital anime drawing and mingle with other Anime Art lovers! Let's talk anime, Fandoms, and digital tools for beginners. Ages 10+, $25/person.Register online at

Art Attack- Ultimate Guide to Pencil Drawings: Saturday, April 24, 11a.m.-12 p.m.
Join Miss. Emily to explore the basics of art. In this one-hour class, students will explore fine art techniques. Whether you are a seasoned artist who wants to brush up on your skills or you are a beginner, this Saturday workshop is perfect for you! Recommended for ages 6+. $12/student. Register online at

In order to maintain a safe public space for our guests and comply with our community standards, masks are required for entrance to the Museum.  The Children's Museum has increased sanitation of all touchable surfaces, removed many loose exhibit pieces to reduce touchable surfaces, instituted "Discovery Bags" to still allow hands-on participation for individual learners, and increased air exchange in the Museum.
