Elysian Fields Equestrian Center's day camp program is specially themed and programmed for campers
ages 6-17 (completed grades K to 11th) to match their energy and apply
their creativity. Portions of the day will be spent in small group games
and events, but other portions will sub-divide campers into even more
targeted skill level and age-appropriate activities.
We're small and personal. Our family-like group is limited to 15 campers, creating a highly supervised camper to staff ratio.

Camp Activities and Schedule
Get ready for a new adventure each day! Our day camp program runs from
the moment your child is dropped off to the time you pick them up again,
and both lessons and activities encompass the day-to-day equestrian
lifestyle while instilling qualities of hard work, dedication and good
horsemanship. Our ultimate goal is to teach each participant what it
would be like to have a horse of their own.
Mornings include a short check in and welcome time, and then it’s off to
their first activity period. At camp, your child will enjoy an entire
day focused around horses. Boys and girls, 6 years and older of all
ability levels will enjoy daily riding lessons; instruction in horse
care and feeding; proper tack selection; basic veterinary skills and
horse anatomy; driving lessons; games and crafts with horse themes and
Much More!
Activities can take place indoors or outdoors, weather permitting. Your
young equestrian will be instructed and given opportunity to perform
ground work and ride in our 16,000 sq-ft indoor or 20,000 sq-ft outdoor
arenas. Once confident the basics have been achieved, we hit the trails!
Slow and steady at first on the beginner trails outlining the open
areas and pasture fencing. The beautifully scenic 40-acre hilltop
property of Elysian Fields Equestrian Center offers almost a guarantee
we will see white tail deer and a fair chance at a glance at wild turkey
from the trails.

More Info/What to bring:
While we do provide everything needed, some items are encouraged to be brought by your camper.
Spillproof water bottle - We provide water, gatorade and lemonade (No
Soda). A spillproof container marked with your child's name or easily
recognizable will be very helpful.
Helmets are required and we do provide SEI Certified Equestrian Riding Helmets.
Dress to temperature. We will be mostly
indoors and weather is not a concern. It’s not too cold. We are indoors! Though most of the barn is not heated, the bathroom and the classroom where we will spend much of our time are heated.
Jeans/leggings are very
appropriate. Boots are recommended but not necessary. Please no 'rubber
duckies' as they do not provide the foot protection needed in the rare
case of getting stepped on. Rubber duckies are fine for mucking stalls
in the mornings if they have something to change into after. Sneakers
are fine. Absolutely no open toe shoes, sandals or crocks.
