Toddler Time:
Mondays, April 3, 10, 17, 24 — 10:30 – 11:00am
Toddler Time is an interactive program for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Toddler Time includes a story, sing-a-long, and/or hands-on learning activities. Program is included with general admission or membership.

Ex-STREAM Saturdays

Saturdays, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 — 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Drop in on Saturdays between the hours of 10:30am - 12:30pm for some hands-on ex-STREAM fun! Each week we'll explore a different STREAM theme- Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, or Math- where you can participate in an activity, experiment, or craft at the museum. This program is free with general admission or membership and recommended for ages 4 and up. Sponsored by the Bucknell University Community Engagement Fund. General admission is $9 per person 2 years and older.

Safari Sundays

Sundays, April 2, 16, 23, 30 — 1:00 – 1:45pm
Join Miss Sydney, a Bucknell University's Education and Animal Behavior Department major, as she helps us learn about some unique animals, where they live, and other fun facts about these interesting creatures with activities to follow. This program is free with general admission and recommended for children ages 3 and up.

The LCM offers programming discounts for “Museums for All” eligible families? Contact the Museum and present your EBT card and a valid photo ID to receive a 25% discount on select LCM programming opportunities. Space is limited.

Toy Modification Family Night

Saturday, April 1, 2023 — 5 - 6:30pm
Join Bucknell University computer science students for this special workshop and toy giveaway. Families with children with disabilities or who would benefit from modified toys are invited to the Museum for an evening of play. During the evening, University students will adapt mainstream, battery-operated toys, allowing the toy to be operated by a variety of alternative means. These adapted toys are then provided, for free, to families. This program is free but registration is required.

Egg Hunt at the Museum

Thursday, April 6 — 10:00am – 4:00pm

Come to LCM this weekend for an “Egg-citing” contest! Hunt for giant easter eggs in your favorite exhibits! Search while you play and record your answers. Turn them in to the gift shop before you leave and enter to win a prize! Program included with general admission and membership. Recommended for children 2 and up. Please note that the Museum will be closed on Sunday, April 9.

Fairy Garden Workshop

April 7, 2023 — Two Sessions (1p - 1:45p) (2:15p - 3pm) 
It’s time for a “fairy” fun time! Join us for this magical workshop and make your very own fairy garden and provide a quiet, relaxing retreat for those elusive little sprites. This workshop is great for both children and adults to explore the endless possibilities of these wonderful little fairylands. Each participant will get a fairy garden kit which includes a small b, fake succulent plant (so your garden never withers), terra cotta base, and so much more! Cost is $10 per person and recommended for those 4 years and older (adults, you can register too). Registration required. Activities will be outside weather permitting.

Nature's Explorers: Looking & Listening
Saturday, April 8, 2023 — 2 pm - 3:30 pm
Location: Dale’s Ridge: Dale Engle Walker House

Join a group of explorers on the second Saturdays of the month (March-May from 2:00 pm-3:30 pm, unless otherwise noted) to discover the curiosity of nature at Dale’s Ridge and areas surrounding Lewisburg. Each session will introduce a new way of seeing and being in the natural world: from art to science to history! We’ll be together in safe ways outdoors, learning about the world around us and how we can help keep nature healthy. Recommended for children 5-10 years old and their families.

Sensory Friendly Family Nights 
Friday, April 14 — 4:00 – 7:00 pm
Join us for Sensory Friendly Family Nights (on 2nd Fridays of the month), a special Museum event for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders. The Museum will limit capacity, turn down sounds and lights, and provide adaptive equipment to offer a safe and fun experience for all! These programs are sponsored by the Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way and are free for participants. This event is recommended for all ages and registration is required. Passport to the World
Saturday, APRIL 15, 2023 — 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Join us in celebrating cultures from around the world with Bucknell University Foreign Language Teaching Assistants. Travel around the world in the LCM courtyard (weather permitting), and explore engaging, interactive, and hands-on opportunities that will help to foster tolerance and inclusion of different traditions, religions, appearances, languages and art forms.

H.E.R.Y.N. Registration is Open for 2023

February 8, 2023 to June 22, 2023

2023 HERYN (Helping Engage our River's Youth with Nature) youth kayaking and fishing program days are scheduled for June 22, 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28. These program days are for young people ages 9 to 14, introducing them to important skills in both kayaking and fishing, building confidence in these outdoor skills, and developing a vested interest in protecting our river's resources. REGISTRATION is OPEN.
