Craft of the Month – Grogu (the Child) Puppet
Month of May – During Library Hours
This is the way. Children can pick up a Grogu kit at the library. The craft can be used as a puppet or a bookmark. For ages 3-12. Available while supplies last.

Preschool Story and Activity Time!
Tuesday, May 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30 - 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Join us each week for our in-person storytime that includes a weekly theme with read-aloud stories, age-appropriate activities and crafts, musical instruments, and songs. Adults are offered a take-home paper with theme-related crafts, rhymes, snacks, and suggested getting ready for kindergarten activities. For children up to age 5 along with a parent/caregiver. Parents must stay with children during class. Register to attend by visiting the library, calling 570-922-4773, or registering online.

Story Time with Maverick
Wednesday, May 10 – 4:30 pm
Children and their parents/caregivers are invited to attend a special storytime with Maverick and Miss Wendy.

Reading with Maverick
Saturday, May 27 – 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Children are welcome to read their favorite books to Maverick, the library’s certified therapy dog. To sign up for a 15-minute time slot, call the library at 570-922-4773.

H.E.R.Y.N. Registration is Open for 2023

February 8, 2023 to June 22, 2023

2023 HERYN (Helping Engage our River's Youth with Nature) youth kayaking and fishing program days are scheduled for June 22, 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28. These program days are for young people ages 9 to 14, introducing them to important skills in both kayaking and fishing, building confidence in these outdoor skills, and developing a vested interest in protecting our river's resources. REGISTRATION is OPEN.
