CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

Toddler/Preschool Discover Storytime
Wednesday, May 3 & 10 – 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Join a weekly storytime with Ms. Sheila for children 2-6 years of age and their parents/caregivers. Crafts, games, and STEM activities are provided to reinforce the theme and engage the children in creative play and learning.

Paper Circuits: May the 4^th Be with You!
Thursday, May 4 – 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Color and create a light-up Star Wars mini paper character. For Grades 3-5. Please register by calling 570-966-0831, visiting the library, or registering online.

Moms and Babies Meetup
Tuesday, May 9 – 11:30 am
A meetup for new moms and their babies (birth to age 2)! Sing songs, listen to a short story, and learn baby sign language. Connect with other moms and discuss parenting and general topics. Please register by calling 570-966-0831, visiting the library, or registering online.

Patriotic Craft
Saturday, May 20 – During Library Hours
Drop-in to paint and put together a patriotic summer craft.

Welcome to Camp Kindness
Wednesday, May 31 – During Library Hours
Visit Camp Kindness! Get a peek at our summer reading theme "All together Now." Make a camp craft, enjoy some campout treats, and sign up for the Summer Reading Program! Please register by calling 570-966-0831, visiting the library, or registering online.

Book in a Jar
Months of May & June
Patrons guess at the title and author of a book that is shredded in a jar for a gift card to a local restaurant.

Book & Bake Sale
Friday, May 12 – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Saturday, May 13 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Annual book and baked goods sale. The sale will be held at the library. The public may fill a plastic bag with books for $10 or a large bag/box for $15.

Monthly STEM Activity
During Library Hours
Pick up a STEM Activity for children and adults at the library.

H.E.R.Y.N. Registration is Open for 2023

February 8, 2023 to June 22, 2023

2023 HERYN (Helping Engage our River's Youth with Nature) youth kayaking and fishing program days are scheduled for June 22, 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28. These program days are for young people ages 9 to 14, introducing them to important skills in both kayaking and fishing, building confidence in these outdoor skills, and developing a vested interest in protecting our river's resources. REGISTRATION is OPEN.

Zoo Camp at Clyde Peeling's Reptiland - More Dates Have Been Added
