The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Mifflinburg Walking Tours
Mifflinburg Buggy Museum
MAY 7 – MAY 21 – JUNE 3
1 PM – 2:30 PM
The Mifflinburg Buggy Museum will be offering a new historic walking tour this spring. “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” picks up where our 2020 & 2021 “Scandals and Scoundrels” tour left off.
The tour is based on news articles from both the Mifflinburg Telegraph and The Lewisburg Journal from the 1880s to the 1940s and offers humorous and sometimes shocking insights into the unsung heroes, crafty criminals, tragic victims and femme fatales that helped shaped our area’s past.
Walk the streets and learn of one of our citizen’s close connection to Abraham Lincoln. Hear about a WWII hero who earned a place in our history, our hearts and Wikipedia!!. Play judge and jury to some unsavory criminals and see if your verdicts match those of yesteryear.
Tour dates are: May 7, May 21 and June 3 and are about 90 min in length, covering 1.25 miles. Participants are encouraged to wear sensible walking shoes and bring a water bottle. Tours leave from the Museum’s Visitors’ Center at 598 Green St promptly at 1PM and will run rain or shine.
Tickets go on sale April 1st. Tour size is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance from the Mifflinburg Buggy Museum’s Facebook page. Contact [email protected] for "will call" tickets or questions. All sales are final.
The Mifflinburg Buggy Museum is celebrating its 45th year as a local museum and is open for tours Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. through Oct 30.
