The 167th Bloomsburg Fair will be held Friday, September 23rd through Saturday, October 1, 2022

All grandstand entertainment tickets are on sale now. You can purchase online by clicking the links below, or purchasing tickets directly at the ticket office. The ticket office will be open Saturday April 16 and 23 from 10am to 2pm. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone by calling (570) 387-4145.

“The History of the Bloomsburg Fair”

Back in the fall of 1855 about a thousand people dug into their pockets for the ten cents that admitted them to this new adventure in Bloomsburg. The big event was staged in Caleb Barton’s field at the lower end of Second Street, now Main Street in Bloomsburg PA.

It all came about because of the enthusiasm of one man, Dr. John Taggart. He had visited a county fair in northern Pennsylvania earlier in the summer and was impressed by the values and community feel of the agricultural exhibition. He convinced others of the benefits that could come from such a movement in Columbia County and the Bloomsburg Fair became a reality!
