Celebrate the history of Sunbury, the heart of the Susquehanna River, and the heritage of the people who have called it their home!  We are planning a variety of exciting events and activities -- something for everyone to enjoy. 

Heart and Heritage Parade

Kick off a full week of fun with a grand 4th of July Parade starting at 10am of July 4th!

See all your parade favorites including marching bands, festive floats, entertainers, vintage cars, trucks, and military vehicles, and, of course, firetrucks! 

Find a place along the parade route early and enjoy!

Red, White, and Blue are the colors of the day!

Parade Registration is OPEN until June 2, 2022!

Businesses, organizations, clubs, bands, dance crews, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trucks - welcome!

Parade Route

The parade starts at South Second St and Pine St; goes north on Second St to Walnut St; east on Walnut St to South Tenth St; north on Tenth St to Market St; west on Market St to Fourth St; north on Fourth St to end at the Fourth Street Plaza.  The parade route is approximately 2 miles in length.

Proclamation Ceremony

Hear about our history, honor our hometown heroes!
July 4th at 3pm - Cameron Park

Gather at the gazebo in Cameron Park to hear about our history and honor our hometown heroes.  See static displays of military, police, fire, and EMS vehicles.  After the ceremony, enjoy live music entertainment!

Heart and Heritage Festival

Music, arts, crafts and more -- fun for the whole family!

July 5th - 4 pm to 10 pm

July 6th - 10 am to 10 pm

July 7th - 10 am to 2 pm
