CURIOUS ABOUT BEES?

Thinking of Keeping Your Own Hives?

Spend an afternoon with longtime beekeeper David Owens at his apiary. Learn how to get started and the basics of equipment, managing hive health, and honey production. You'll have the chance to see and handle bees and frames, and also taste some very different honeys. This is a hands-on workshop. We will provide veils. Please wear long sleeves, long trousers and footwear with socks.

This class will run from 2:00 to 4:30 on Saturday, June 10. The fee is $25 per person. Number of participants is limited due to the hands-on nature of the program.
