2010 Tourism Fund Grant Award – Important Dates

August 3, 2009 - 2010 Grant Announcement letters will be sent to all past grant recipients

August 10, 2009 - Press Release to area newspapers announcing the 2010 County Tourism Fund Grants

October 30, 2009 – Deadline for the 2010 Grant Applications – due by 5pm.

December 2, 2009 – The Tourism Fund Review Panel meets to review and score the 2010 County Tourism Fund grant applications.

December 3 - End of 2009 - Recommendations made to County Commissioners

January 15, 2010 – Awards announced to the recipients

The 2010 Grant Guidelines, 2010 Grant Application plus all required forms, samples, marketing reference materials and logos will be available on our web site after August 3, 2009.

Please note that the guidelines and application for 2010 have changed from the 2009 documents. We will not honor any submitted grant applications utilizing outdated guidelines, requirements or applications.

Streamlined Process for Previous Grant Award Recipients

If you have received funding from the County Tourism Fund for 2008 and 2009, we have streamlined the grant application process for you. For those who meet this requirement, you need to supply us with only the following documents [all found on this website]:

• 2010 Grant Application
• Promotion & Publicity
• Budget Form
• Marketing Plan Narrative
• Grant Application Checklist

As with all previous years, organizations receiving these grant dollars must use the funding to attract visitors outside of a 50 mile radius, encourage them to stay overnight in the three counties and produce a final report tracking the success of their marketing efforts with the tourism funds.
