BIKE TRAIL MAPS NOW AVAILABLE

The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau (SRVVB), which is the Tourism Promotion Agency for Snyder, Northumberland and Union Counties, is pleased to unveil five newly updated Bike Trails just in time for spring! The bike maps were revised and redesigned by Julieyn Osterhoudt, a spring intern from Temple University.

The bike trails cover many lightly traveled country roads in the region passing covered bridges, barns, parks, and local landmarks. The trails were designed to be easy to read, and each bike trail map includes directions, a Google map, a brief summary about the trail, and details regarding mileage and difficulty level. The featured trails are:

  • Country Road Ramble - 18 miles
  • Farm and River Ride - 24 miles
  • Ride Along Penn's Creek - 42 miles
  • Hoffa Mill Loop - 15 miles
  • Spruce Run Reservoir - 25 miles

Community members can pick up a free copy of the bike trail maps at the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau, located at the intersection of Route 15 and Hafer Road, next to Country Cupboard, in Lewisburg. The Visitors Bureau's hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm and Saturday, 9 am-4 pm.

Residents and visitors can also call 1-800-525-7320 to request that a free copy be mailed to them. The bike trails can also be viewed, downloaded and printed from http://www.visitcentralpa.org/page.asp?tid=137&name=Bicycling
