Visitors Bureau Hosting Backyard Tourism Week, May 9-13

Come discover the many treasures in the region during Backyard Tourism Week, Monday, May 9 through Saturday, May 14 at the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau, located at Route 15 and Hafer Road in Lewisburg.

Each day, the Visitors Bureau will host an Open House at the Visitor Info Center in Lewisburg. Light refreshments will be served. Volunteers and staff will be available to answer questions and provide trip-planning assistance. In addition to the tri-county region, the Visitors Bureau has Travel Guides from regions across the state, and state maps.

On Monday from 1-4:30 pm, meet reps from Isagenix, a wellness company specializing in body cleansing.

On Tuesday morning meet the owner of Colonial Candlecrafters and sign up for a $10 gift certificate. On Tuesday afternoon, the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art will be present, and will give away framed Ned Smith print.

On Wednesday, learn more about Country Vale Design and their handcrafted knitting and jewelry from 1-4:30 pm, and register to win a $25 gift certificate.

Thursday, reps from Susquehanna Trailways will be present in the morning and will give away a $50 gift certificate. Isle of Que River Guides will be available in the afternoon.

On Friday, River Woods Senior Living Community will be present from 1-4:30 pm. Also on Friday, all visitors will receive a free homemade whoopie pie.

Pick up brochures for local attractions and themed road trips and register to win a variety of gifts from local businesses like: Penn's Tavern, Red Robin, Lewisburg Garden Club, Hunters Valley Winery, Shade Mountain Winery, Graci's Flowers, Star Hollow Candle, Moose Exchange, Knoebels Amusement Resort, Lincoln Caverns, Susquehanna Life, Susquehanna Trailways, Best Western Country Cupboard Inn, Canoe Susquehanna, Clyde Peeling's Reptiland, Colonial Candlecrafters, T&D's Cats of the World, Danville Super 8, and Blue Heron Sports.
