New Homegrown in the Valleys Guide and Local Bike Routes Now Available

The Valleys of the Susquehanna, a regional marketing partnership between the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau and the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau, is pleased to announce that a new Homegrown in the Valleys agritourism Guide is now available. The guide features 70 local food and agricultural destinations in Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties.

Using the Homegrown in the Valleys Guide, visitors and locals can easily find local sources for fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses, wines, microbrews, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, flowers and much more.

As part of its Eat Better, Sleep Better, Race Better brand, the Valleys of the Susquehanna also supports a variety of competitive racing events, like marathons, triathlons and bike races. Upcoming events include:

Bicycling enthusiasts can also download bicycle routes from the Race Better page. The bicycle routes include turn-by-turn directions, maps, elevation changes and ride descriptions. Ride routes are available for the Selinsgrove, Catawissa, Lewisburg, Danville and Sunbury areas.

After a fun-filled day in the Valleys of the Susquehanna, racers, visitors and explorers can find comfort and rest in a variety of central PA lodging options. Visitors can enjoy the amenities of a hotel, soak in the personal attention of a bed and breakfast, tell stories by the fire at a campground or bond with friends in a cabin or guesthouse.
