Choo! Choo! Bring the Family to the Visitors Bureau to See a Model Train Display

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 16-18 bring the kids to see a free model train display at the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau, located at Route 15 and Hafer Road, next to Country Cupboard in Lewisburg. There will be operating trains from today - and even some trains that you may remember from your childhood.

The display will be installed by the Loose Ties Model Railroad Club and will be open to the public on the following dates and times:

  • Friday, December 16, 8:30 am-8:30 pm
  • Saturday, December 17, 8:30 am-8:30 pm
  • Sunday, December 18, 8:30 am-3 pm

The trains will be set up in the newly renovated lobby of the Visitors Bureau.

There will be drawings for two model train giveaways. The train sets are being sponsored by the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau, Loose Ties Model Railroad Club, English Model Train Supply, and T & J Train Junctions. Any child under 14 who is accompanied by an adult will be given a raffle ticket.

Adults are also welcome to bring a train that they may have had as a child, and the Loose Ties Model Railroad Club will gladly run them on the layout.

There is no admission fee for this event, although donations will be graciously accepted.

In previous years, more than 2,000 people visited the Model Train Display over the course of the three days.
