Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble/Alvina Krause Theatre

In December, the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s TreeFest will hold a special Kid’s Days Event for elementary school students and the Alvina Krause Theatre in downtown Bloomsburg will have Middle and High school students in the audience when BTE presents Miss Bennet: Christmas At Pemberley special school matinees.
TreeFest Kid’s Days will be held in the Caldwell Consistory on the square in downtown Bloomsburg at the home of BTE’s annual TreeFest event.  Kid’s Days will be held from 10:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m. on December 3, 4, and 5.  Students will enjoy Storytime with the Ensemble, tour two floors of live, decorated trees, engage in a Scavenger Hunt, Craft Time, Holiday Class Photo, and visit with Santa!  The fee is $5.00 per person.
Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley will have six special school matinees scheduled on December 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19.  Matinees begin at 10:00 a.m. and the cost is $9.50 for all audience members.
Written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon , Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley  is a charming holiday romantic comedy complete with music, spectacular costuming and set design, all in keeping with Jane Austen’s Georgian-era world.  This unofficial sequel to Pride and Prejudice has been a hit at theatres from coast to coast!
School representatives are encouraged to call soon for availability for both of these events.  To make a reservation or for more information, contact Paula Henry, BTE’s School Programs Director at 570.458.4075, email at or visit
