Winter Botany Hike Feb. 24 at 1 PM

The Linn Conservancy will be hosting a Winter Botany Hike at the Dale-Engle-Walker (Dale’s Ridge) property.  There is no need to wait for spring to enjoy and learn about the plant life on our landscape.  Dr. Chris Martine, professor of biology at Bucknell University, will lead us on this educational walk.  Chris will describe ways that plants survive winter’s extremes, offer clues to species identification, look for evidence of plant use by insects and other critters, and identify signs that spring is just around the corner.  If conditions are right, you are welcome to join the group on your snowshoes or xc skis.

This event will take place at 1471 Strawbridge Road, Lewisburg.  We will meet at the top of the lane near the house. We will not be walking on any steep terrain, but do come prepared for the day’s weather.   Parking will be within the former barn foundation area just past the house on the left.

There is no need to register for this event.  Please contact us if you have any questions.
