The Merrill Linn Conservancy will sponsor a hike at Glacier Pools Preserve, a 273-acre island of mature trees, wildflower meadows, and grand vistas containing a diverse mixture of deciduous and evergreen tree species and vernal pools (at least 18) that teem with amphibians.
Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to gather at three Linn Conservancy protected sites to create plein air artwork that captures their beauty. Noted artist Simonne Roy will present an optional plein air program at the Dale/Engle/Walker House at 9 am. The Union County Historical Society (UCHS) will offer a free guided tour of the Dale/Engle/Walker House.
