The Grand Slam Parade is an event to celebrate the start of the annual Little League World series.  Join us as Williamsport welcomes the 16 teams playing in the Little League World Series. The Grand Slam Parade includes all 16 Little League teams, a Hall of Fame Major League Baseball Player (tba) will serve as the Grand Marshall, national, regional and local marching bands, entertaining floats and so much more. The Parade begins at the intersections of Grier Street and West Fourth Street and moves east on Fourth Street past City Hall, ending at Market Street.  The evening is full of fun and excitement all along the parade route.

 

Little League Baseball® World Series Opening Ceremonies

Location: Volunteer Stadium

The LLBWS Opening Ceremonies ushers in 10 days of baseball action at the Little League International Complex located in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Opening Ceremonies is highlighted by the Parade of Champions, where the 16 teams participating in the Series parade in front of enthusiastic family, friends and fans. In addition, the Opening Ceremonies will feature local Pennsylvania District 12 Little Leaguers parading in flags of more than 80 countries participating in the Little League program, local dignitaries welcoming those in attendance and a ceremonial first pitch to be thrown by a former professional baseball player.

 

Admission into the Little League Complex is free and tickets to the Little League World Series games are free and available on a first come first served basis on the day of games. Seating is also available on the hill overlooking the outfield fence of Lamade Stadium (no ticket required).

Handicapped parking is available at this same location.

Once reaching your destination, continue to travel East Mountain Ave. Parking is located off of East Mountain Ave., in the South Williamsport Sports Complex, directly behind the Little League International complex.

From the parking areas, visitors to the Little League Baseball® World Series will be required to walk to the stadiums, which includes an extended incline (from the South Williamsport Sports Complex) or downhill (from Route 15), and must pass through security checkpoints.

From the North:
From U.S. Routes 14 and 15 South, follow U.S. Route 15 South to Williamsport and take the Market Street Exit.

From the South:
Follow U.S. Route 15 North to Williamsport and the Little League complex will be on your right.

From the East:
Follow Interstate 80 to Interstate 180/Route 220 (exit 212B). Continue on Interstate 180/Route 220 to Williamsport and take the Market Street Exit.

From the West:
Follow Interstate 80 to Route 220 (exit 178). Follow Route 220 to Williamsport and take the Market Street Exit.


Little League® World Series Complex Map

Concessions:

Hours: 9:00 AM until the end of the last game

The Little League complex has various concession stands and food vendors that provide all kinds of beverages and food. Beverages found in concession areas include both Pepsi and Gatorade products. In the main concession area, located between Lamade and Volunteer Stadiums, you will find hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza, salads, fries and more. ‘The Shortstop’ also includes these main concession options and is located along the hill next to Lamade Stadium. For ice cream treats, stop by our ‘Sweet Spot Ice Cream Stand’ located along the first-base side of Lamade Stadium.

There are also several specialty food vendors throughout the complex, including a Heinz Pork BBQ Stand, a Fresh Cut Fries Truck, a Fried Dough Trailer, and a Bomp Pop Stand which are all located along the third-base side of Lamade Stadium. Other food vendors including a Kettle Corn Stand, a Cotton Candy/Funnel Cake Stand, a Bomb Pop/Blue Bunny Stand, a Smoothies/Coffee Stand, and a Red Osier Roast Beef Stand are all located along the Pavilion. Our ‘Special Concession Stand’ serves new items every day and is located on the side of the main concession area. On the top of the hill next to the scoreboard of Lamade Stadium, you can find our ‘Left Field Sandwich Stand’ that features specialty Heinz sandwiches. For healthier eats, stop by ‘The Little League Market’ for grab and go options including wraps, sandwiches, salads, fruit and more.


Visiting the Little League World Series? Visit the museum too! We are at the top of the hill along Route 15 North.  We are open every day in August with extended hours during the series! 9am-7pm

Open daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., including Presidents’ Day, Feb. 16. (Extended hours during the World series are 9am-7pm)
General admission is $5. It is $2 for children (ages 5 through 12) and $3 for senior citizens (ages 62 and older). Children four and younger are admitted free of charge,
as well as any Little Leaguer wearing a uniform shirt that includes the Little League official shoulder patch.
