Lycoming County Historical Society Taber Museum

The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society, located at 858 West Fourth Street in Williamsport, will hold its annual Summer History Day Camp from July 30 – August 3, 2018.  The camp, designed for children ages 8 to 12 (Grades 2,3,4,5), will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily.

This year’s camp, through a variety of hands-on experiences, will focus on the Victorian Period and the Civil War Era. Tasting hardtack, dance lessons, making a seashell-covered box/picture frame, participating in military drills, and enjoying a high Victorian tea are a few of the anticipated activities. There is a fee and advanced registration is required.  For Historical Society members, the cost is $60.  For non-members, the cost is $70.  To register your child, call the Taber Museum at 570-326-3326 for an application or visit our website at www.tabermuseum.org to download an application.  Registrations may be made through July 24, 2018. For more information, please call the museum at 570-326-3326.
