Every other Wednesday, January 15th-April 22nd.

11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Parent/child activities designed to complement concepts taught in homeschool curriculum, grades K-12. Discounted admission for homeschool families.

Two-Dollar Tuesday

Exploring Club
January 21 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
(no meetings July and August) FREE PREVIEW SESSIONS September 17th, October 15th and November 19th . Exploring Club is for boys and girls ages 10 to17 who are interested in learning about exciting career choices through activities, guest speakers and field trips to take an indepth look at a wide variety of careers. Exploring Club is run through the Boy Scouts of America’s Learning for Life. $140/ student for the entire year. Find out more »

Nerf Modifications
Saturday, January 25
11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Join the Museum for this NEW club! Modifying your Nerf blaster is a fun and interesting way to expand on your new hobby. When done safely, modding can be a fun lesson in physics and mechanics. $25.00 for the year, ages 8 and up.

National Seed Swap Day
Saturday, January 25
10 a.m.-12 noon

Celebrate National Seed Swap Day with us. Gardeners of all ages can come together and swap the seeds from their best plants, which is great for improving the biodiversity in the local area. Free with Museum admission.

Kid Power Self Defense
2 sessions: January 25 @ 10:00 am - 10:40 am and 11-11:40 am
Students will get empowered by learning to use key phrases and “get away” moves base on martial arts. Taught by teen instructor, Erik Weibel, black belt in taekwondo and Karate with ten years of martial arts experience. Adults must stay at program with children under 12. $2 fee plus regular admission. Spaces are limited. Find out more »

Come to a fun night out for families with special needs! Enjoy reduced number of visitors, space and freedom to explore at your own pace, adapted exhibits, a quiet area, fun craft and sensory activities, and an opportunity to network with other families. Preschool Discovery Days
February 1

This monthly Saturday morning program is a whole lot of fun for your little ones ages 2-6. Hands-on activities exploring rotating themes are available on a walk-in basis, while supplies last. Free with Museum admission.

Infectious Intelligence
February 3 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Middle and High School-aged students will design and build tethered robots using engineering design concepts. Robots will be created to compete in a competition. Sketchup, technical drawing, circuits, mechanical engineering, critical thinking, and mathematical skills will be taught. Class size is limited to 14 students and a teacher’s recommendation is required because of the challenging nature of the club. Open to grades 6 and up. Paint Me A Story

This Tuesday afternoon storytime-art studio mashup is a whole lot of fun for your little ones ages 2-6. Storytime ignites preschoolers' imaginations for creating hands-on art activities exploring colorful book themes and characters. Free with Museum admission.

First Friday!
February 7

The first Friday of every month the Bloomsburg Children's Museum will be open until 7:00pm! Join us for a themed workshop from 5:00-6:00pm on these days. The theme for Friday February 7th is 3D printing and pens! Workshops are $2 per child on top of museum admission.

National Cherry Day
February 8
Join our celebration of National Cherry Month and learn more about this fruit and how it is grown. Free with museum admission.

 

Art Lab - Stitched Felt Hearts
February 8

A one-hour class exploring and introducing fine art techniques. Whether you’re a seasoned painter in acrylics or watercolor or new to art in general, you’ll find this class to be a fun and unique way to bring your artwork to life! Recommended for ages 6+. Museum admission plus $6 material fee.

Bakers-In-Training at Panera Bread

Bakers In Training Class at Panera During this fun-filled culinary experience, your child will try their hand at bread making by stretching and scoring a mini French baguette. They will also sample from Panera’s clean kid’s menu and will decorate their own cookie, with pro tips from Panera’s artisan bakers. Register at the museum; this 60-90 minute class is held in Panera’s bakery, 60 Plaza Dr. Bloomsburg. $25/child, includes chef’s hat and apron, tastings, and baking activities.
