Kidz Art: Snow Painting

There's no painting like snow painting! Experiment with a new painting medium- Snow Paint! A wintry snow picture is just what every home needs this winter. Free with general admission.

Kidz in the Kitchen: Deer Fodder
Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1:00 – 2:00pm

Join us for our Kidz in the Kitchen program as we make Deer Fodder (White Chocolate Chex Mix). Children will measure and mix to whip up a batch of this tasty wintry treat for all to share and take home. Free with general admission, but registration is required.*

POP! @ the LCM: Blubber Experiment

Meet us in Space and Science for a blubber experiment! We'll discover how animals stay warm in this chilly winter weather! Free with general admission.

Gather around to read one of our favorite winter books, “The Mitten” by Jan Brett. After the story, create your own winter mitten craft. Free with general admission.

POP! @ the LCM: Snowflake Science
Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00am – 12:00pm

Pop by Space and Science and explore the magic (and science) of growing crystals! Each child will make their own snowflake and learn how crystals can form by a simple reaction. Free with general admission.

Helping Hands Fundraiser
Friday, February 1-Saturday, February 2

Leave your mark on the LCM by painting a handprint and signature on the hallway wall. Cost of participation is $20. Registration required at: https://goo.gl/forms/VNTaifoeBOuU7G142. General admission is separate. Proceeds from the LCM's Helping Hands Fundraiser support the Museum’s Accessibility Initiatives.

Elsa's Secret Slime

What better way to celebrate Ice Fest weekend than mixing up a sparkly batch of Elsa's Secret Slime! Registration is required and space is limited. Cost $2 material fee. General admission is separate.

Storytime with the Gingerbread Construction Company

Bucknell University's Enginuity Affinity House is hosting the “Gingerbread Construction Company” Valentine’s event. STEM activities, including building a Gingerbread House, will introduce children to basic concepts of structural engineering. Program is for children 4-8 years old and is free with admission, but registration required. Register at www.lewisburgchildrensmuseum.org by February 1st, 2019.

POP! @ the LCM: Let's Get Pumped!
Thursday, February 14, 10:00am – 12:00pm

Join us in Body Works as our POP program explores the heart! Children will interact with a functioning heart model made from everyday items, practice listening to their heartbeat, and learn how to keep their hearts healthy! Program is free with general admission.

STEM@LCM w/ Bucknell Chemistry Club
Saturday, February 16, 12:00 – 2:00pm

Join us for a fun-filled STEM session with the Bucknell University’s Chemistry Club. Children will participate in group led activities and demonstrations while learning important STEM concepts. This program is recommended for children in grades K-5. Program is free with general admission.

A POP! for President's Day

Being the President is a hard job! Do you ever wonder what they do? Find out at our POP! for President's Day program at the LCM! Learn the importance of being the President and the major roles they have as the leader of our country. What would YOU do as President? Program is free with general admission.

Backyard Bird Feeders

Saturday, February 23, 12:00 – 1:00pm
February is a cold and snowy month and our feathery friends need help finding food! Join us in our programming room to make and design a bird feeder filled with yummy bird seed to take home. Program is free with general admission.

LCM Celebrates Engineer Week w/ Bucknell University
Sunday, February 24, 1:00 – 3:00pm

Want to learn more about engineering? BU’s Society of Women Engineers will lead demonstrations and activities, such as Scribble Bots, that introduce children to basic engineering concepts. This program is recommended for children in grades K-5. Program is free with general admission.
