Celebrate Best Friends Day

Come to the museum with your best friend to create a necklace for you and your best friend plus more! Free with Museum admission.

 

Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m.-12 noon

Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Day

National Fresh Fruits and Vegetables day! Come to the Museum to learn all about the benefits of eating these fresh healthy foods. Free with regular Museum admission.

Leather Tooling Workshop
Make a great gift for dad this Father’s Day! In this workshop kids will learn how to tool leather and make a customized water bottle/key fob holder for dad. Ages 6+. $15.

Two Dollar Tuesday

$2 admission all day! The Exchange will host hands-on Art Cart projects 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Exploring Club

Exploring Clubs are for boys and girls between 10 and 17 years old who are interested in learning about exciting career choices. Activities, guest speakers, and field trips help students take an in-depth look at careers in various fields. Meetings held monthly. Pro-rated registration is available.

Outside Smarts

Join Ali Wood from Pennsylvania Department of Health to find out about lyme's disease. We will learn about causes, curs and how to prevent lyme's disease.

Food Truck Series & Pop-Up Crop Swap

Have lunch with us! We will host a food truck from 11-1 p.m. on the grounds of the Children's Museum. Check out our website and Facebook page for which food truck will be rolling in each week. Big Dan's BBQ on Wednesday, June 19th

Along with a food truck we will have a pop-up crop swap - got extra tomatoes but need eggs? have zucchini but are hankering for some green beans? Bring your home grown harvest to our crop swap and promote eating healthy and local.

Music Together Preview Class

Fairy Gardens with Rohrbach’s Farm Market

Repurpose, plant and grow! Join us in the kid’s garden and plant a summer fairy garden. Soil, pot, seeds and garden décor all provided. Learn some fun tricks to transition your fairy garden for the fall and winter. All ages. $15.

All Abilities Trades Day

Come learn about the different trades you can choose for a career path. Many businesses in the healthcare, construction, manufacturing/industry and service categories need skilled workers. Learn about trades in a variety of fields from machinery and construction to medical and beauty. Partnering with Hand in Hand Family Resource Center, all ages welcome, free with Museum admission.

Summer Camp: Painting and Drawing Camp 1

Your young artists ages 6-12 will scribble, splatter and create! This camp is about learning how to draw and paint. From using every surface using brushes, pencils, and the unexpected! Presented by Art Space artist Sara Mika. $70 per child

Friday, June 28, 6-8 p.m.
Chalk Paste Canvas

Session A: 6-6:30 pm, Session B: 6:30-7 pm, Session C: 7-7:30 pm, Session D: 7:30-8 pm
Make your mark with Tiff Duffy of Chalk Couture! Students will create a personalized initial canvas using chalk paste. Create one for yourself or give as a gift! $15 per student, ages 12+.

Families with Special Needs Night

During this unique program, the museum is open just for families with special needs. Extra staff will be on hand to help you and your family get the most out of the museum’s exhibits. Admission is free for families with special needs members.

Musical Instrument Petting Zoo

Brett Rynhart of Rynhart Music brings us hands-on fun with musical instruments! Children have the chance to get up close and personal with the orchestral instruments they see played on stage. Free with museum admission.
