January 2nd: Homeschool P.E. Class 1-1:45 pm
Students engage in moderate to vigorous physical activity through a variety of enjoyable games. Students learn and explore basic skills in addition to building sportsmanship with one another. Classes are facilitated by Ms. Katie Rude. They begin at 1p.m. and run approximately 45 minutes. Ages 3+. An adult is required to stay with children under 5 years old. Classes are $8 per session.

January 5th: Music Together: Fridays 10:15 & 11:15
Music Together® is a fun, family music program for parents & children ages birth to kindergarten. Our informal, mixed-aged classes include a high quality, developmentally appropriate research-based curriculum with playful activities. Each child participates at his or her own level for a nonperformance oriented, highly interactive classroom experience. Make music an exciting part of your child’s life! January 5th: First Friday, Expecting Parent, Culture Café
•    First Friday: The museum will be OPEN UNTIL 8p.m. the first Friday of every month with special activities for the whole family.

January 6th : Paint Me A Story: "The Day The Crayons Quit" 10-11 am
This Saturday morning storytime-art-studio-mashup is a whole lot of fun for your little ones ages 3-5. Call the museum to RSVP. Free with regular admission. Adult must stay with child during program.

January 6th: Lego Animations Workshop with Box of Light Ages 5-7 11am-Noon, Ages 8+ 1-2:30pm
Join box of Light and Rand Whipple for a Lego Animation workshop. Stop Action Animation is a technique used in animation to bring static object to life on screen. This is done by moving the objects in small movements while filming a frame per movement. Workshop cost is $4 per student in addition to museum admission. A parent is required to stay during the class. Space is limited, call today!

January 10, 11 & 12: Animation Workshop for Teens with Rand Whipple! 6-8 pm.
Join Box of Light and Rand Whipple to create an animated short film for the “Sit Next to Me! Film Festival.” the Festival celebrates stories that illustrate our universal desire to being as well as remind us of our personal responsibility to make others fell welcome. Learn from one of our area’s top educators! Rand Whipple is the founder and director of Box of Light Digital Arts Studios. Cost is $65 per student. Films will be showcased a festival shoving. Space is limited, call today!

January 16th : $2 Tuesday 10am-4pm
Enjoy the Museum and the Art Cart from the Exchange all for just $2!

January 16th: EXPLORER CLUB 4:30-5:30p.m.
Monthly every 3rd Tuesday through Dec. 2018 - Explorer Club is for boys and girls ages 10-14 who want to learn about exciting career choices. Activities, guest speakers, field trips take an in-depth look at careers in various fields. Explorer Club is run through the Boy Scouts of America’s Learning for Life. $140/student for 12mths. (prorated registration available).

January 17th: Homeschool  Hangout Shock it to me! 11-1
Every other Wednesday 11-1p.m. during the school year, January through April. Parent/child activities designed to complement concepts taught in homeschool curriculum, grades K-12. Discounted admission for homeschool families ($5/person).

January 18th : Third Annual Children's Museum Competitive Science Fair 5-8pm
Students in grades 4-8 will be showcasing their scientific findings, competing for cash prizes. The Fair features projects from all scientific disciplines from magnetism to food science. Awards announced at 7:30. Free and open to the public.

January 24th: Panera Bakers in Training 4:30-5:30
During this fun-filled culinary experience, your child will try their hand at bread making by stretching and scoring a mini French baguette. They will also sample from Panera’s clean kid’s menu and will decorate their own cookie, with pro tips from Panera’s artisan bakers. Register at the museum; this 60-90 minute class is held in Panera’s bakery, 60 Plaza Dr. Bloomsburg. $26/child, includes chef’s hat and apron, tastings, and baking activities. Spaces are limited. Ages 5-12.

January 26th: Families with Special Needs Night 6-8pm
Come to a fun night out for families with special needs! Enjoy reduced number of visitors, space and freedom to explore at your own pace, adapted exhibits, a quiet area, fun craft and sensory activities, and an opportunity to network with other families. Special needs night is a FREE event held quarterly.

January 27th : Butterflies LIVE! with Folks Farm 10-Noon
Join Folk’s Farm at the museum in experiencing a live butterfly enclosure. Learn all about the life cycle of these winged beauties with hands-on activities and crafts. Free with Museum Admission.

January 27th : Robotic Scout Badge 1-4 pm
For the Robotics Badge, Scouts will design their own interactive LegoRobots using the Lego WeDo system and then program their robots usingdrag-and-drop software. Scouts will also build LEGO models featuringworking motors and sensors, then program their creations. Scouts mustpre-register. Program is limited to 16 children per session (minimum of 8).$12/Scout (includes museum admission & Fun Patch).
