Beach Night: Kinetic Sand Fun

Join us for an evening of fun to kick off our summer season with all things sand, sun and summer.

Tuesday, June 5-8, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Jungle Creatures: PreK Yoga Camp

Your preschooler ages 3-5 will practice lion breath, baby cobra, gecko stretches and more during this energetic intro to yoga taught by certified yoga instructor, Sara Bowman. Campers will explore jungle animals they know and love through stories, breath, energy, sound, movement & balance. Please see sibling policy regarding infants, toddlers, and older siblings.

Summer Art Party: Galaxy Bubble Mural

It’s time for Saturday art projects in the museum garden! Let your imagination soar with color, texture and motion. Spaces are limited, so RSVP by contacting the museum. Recommended for ages 5+. Free with regular admission. Classes during inclement weather will be held in the museum.

Makey Makey® Invention Literacy Workshop for Educators

Get ready for a fun hands-on workshop where adults learn how to teach Invention Literacy, Making, and Design Thinking using the award-winning Makey Makey® invention kit used by educators worldwide as featured in TED talks. Open to school teachers, scout leaders, homeschool parents, youth group leaders, any interested member of the public. Act 48 credit may be available; contact museum for details. $60/person Includes lunch and a FREE Makey Makey® ($49.95 value) to take home if registered before April 20th for the May session, May 28th for the June session and July 16th for the August session.

Music & Movement Around the World

Campers ages 3-5 will celebrate and explore the languages, rhythms, tonalities and instrumentation from music around the globe. Create your own instruments and discover how important and beneficial active music-making can be to your young child's life! Taught by professional children’s music instructor, Kerry Kenny. All children (including siblings) must be officially enrolled to attend camp.

Third Tuesday of the month, $2 admission all day. The Exchange will host hands-on Art Cart projects 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

ROBOTS! At Rohrbach's Farm

Fun for all ages - learn about robots. Arts, crafts, games, experiments featuring ROBOTS! Program Lego WeDo, run a battle bot, make a recycled robot, play robot games, pretend to be a robot, and much more.  Dr. Ginny Weibel will facilitate.

Girls Who Code

This two-day workshop deepens girls' computer science skills as well as their confidence. Girls grades 6-12 learn the concepts to build websites, apps, and robots including loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis for all programming languages. A safe and supportive environment of peers & role models; girls learn to see themselves as computer scientists. Call Museum to RSVP. Free Program.

Strawberries!

Denise Bosworth of Rohrbach's Farm will be our special guest at the museum to help you get hands-on with a favorite ripe, red summer fruit. Activities and crafts for all ages. Free with admission.

Monday, June 25-Friday, June 29, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Painting & Drawing Camp 1

Your young artists ages 6-12 will scribble, splatter, and create! This camp is all about learning how to draw and paint. From using teeny tiny canvases to ones larger than life, we will be exploring every surface using brushes, pencils, and even our feet! Presented by Museum Art Instructor, Emily Wessel.

MAKE LAB- Geocaching 101

Enjoy the outdoors? Hiking? Nature? A good puzzle or game of Hide-and-Seek? You might want to try your hand at Geocaching, a sort of outdoor game of hide-and-seek.  The game is played using a GPS (Global Positioning System)-enabled device, such as a handheld GPS or smartphone. No device is needed to learn the basics of this family-friendly treasure hunt game! Ages 8+ Cost: Museum admission plus $5 material fee.

Pennsylvania Pond Day

Hop into the museum for an introduction to pond life through activities and crafts. Free with regular admission.
