Friday, March 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 – 11:00 am
Saturday, March 18 – 11:00 am
Stories, nursery rhymes and finger plays for babies up to 1 year old and their parents or caregivers. Young toddlers are also welcome. Held every Friday of the month and the third Saturday of the month.
Tuesdays and Wednesday – 9:30 am
Enjoy stories read out loud, finger plays and songs that encourage early literacy skills in children ages 1 and 2 and their parents or caregivers. American Sign Language is used as part of the program. Siblings are welcome to come along.
Tuesdays and Wednesday – 10:00 am
This weekly story time is for children 3 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers and includes stories, flannel boards and activities along with a craft. Registration is required so that enough materials are provided. Register today by calling 570-523-1172 or visiting the library.

What's the Big Idea?

A monthly STEM program uses stories to focus on science and math skills for pre-K and kindergarten children and their families. This month's theme is "patterns." Play Day at the Library
March 4, 6 & 31 – 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Whisk away the winter blues and join us for a play day at the library! Toys featured in ABC Play With Me will be set-up for free play between the hours of 9:30 and 12! Stay and play for as long as you like!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! Enter the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss, help us celebrate Read Across America! Stories, games, crafts, treats, and a special prize will be offered to ensure you have "lots of good fun that is funny!" Snacks and refreshments are provided. Thursday, March 9 & 23 – 6:30 pm
Whether you're a great Lego builder or a first timer, this is the place for you! Work on your own creation or build together as a team. The library provides the Legos, while the kids provide the imagination. All materials must stay at the library, so bring a camera to capture your creations, which are displayed in the library until the next Lego night.
Cradle Group: Having Your Best Birth
Saturday, March 11 – 10:00 am
"What is a doula?" "Should I have a birth plan?" "How can I reduce or eliminate pain and without using medications?" "What's up with placenta encapsulation?" You have questions—we have answers. Thursday, March 16 – 6:30 pm
Children ages 3-5 and their parent/caregiver are invited to explore and tinker at stations that revolve around the theme, "Kitchen Craze." Children may stay at one station for the whole hour or explore each station. Although directions and suggestions are provided, every activity is designed to be experienced independently. Tales to Tails: Read with a Therapy Dog
February 21 – March 31
Arris Moser and her therapy dog Riley are available for this six week program where children read to Riley to practice reading skills and gain confidence in reading. Parents register at the library and Arris will contact the parent to set up a time that is convenient for all. Register by calling 570-523-1172 or visiting the library.
Junk Box Wars: Battle of the Boats
Monday, March 20 – 6:30 pm
A STEM program for children ages 7-12. Participants are creating a boat that can travel a specified distance in the shortest amount of time using items found in their junk box. Class size limited to 12 children. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172 or by visiting the library.
