Junk Box Wars: Parachute Eggs
Monday, April 17 – 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
A STEM program for children ages 7-12. Participants are challenged to create a parachute that will help an egg land safely on a target using items found in their junk box. Class size limited to 12 children. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172 or by visiting the library.

A.B.C. Play With Me Parent/Child Workshop
5 Week Program Offered Wednesdays & Saturdays
Starting Wednesday, April 19 & Saturday, April 20 – 10:00 am
A Parent/Child program for children ages 12 to 40 months and their parents/caregivers. In addition to an uninterrupted hour of play, a resource professional from the community is present to talk with parents/caregivers about specific topics, which include literacy, nutrition, speech and language, music and movement, and child development. Parents need to register so that enough materials are provided. Walk-ins will be able to participate if spots are available. Register today by calling 570-523-1172 or visiting the library.

Preschool Tinkerlab
Thursday, April 20 – 6:30 pm
Children ages 3-5 and their parent/caregiver are invited to explore and tinker at stations that revolve around a printmaking theme. Children may stay at one station for the whole hour or explore each station. Although directions and suggestions are provided, every activity is designed to be experienced independently. Baby Discover
Friday, April 21 & 28 – 11:00 am
Stories, nursery rhymes and finger plays for babies up to 1 year old and their parents or caregivers. Young toddlers are also welcome. Held every Friday of the month and the third Saturday of the month. No Saturday Baby Discover due to the Easter holiday.

PA One Book, Every Young Child Program
Monday, April 24 – 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
To celebrate National Library Week and Week of the Young Child, there is a special story time for children ages 1 through 5 years. Each child attending receives a paperback copy of the book Daniel Finds a Poem by Micha Archer. Activities and story reading are continuous. Parents and children can drop in whenever they want and stay for as long as they want.

Money Matters for Kids
Thursday, April 27 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Explore topics of financial literacy with your children during this interactive program. Children have the opportunity go to work, earn a paycheck, visit the bank, and do some shopping all while learning about financial management. For children ages 5 and up. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Baby Discover
Friday, May 5 & 12 – 11:00 am
Stories, nursery rhymes and finger plays for babies up to 1 year old and their parents or caregivers. Young toddlers are also welcome. Held every Friday of the month and the third Saturday of the month.
 
Toddler Discover
Tuesdays and Wednesday through May 16 – 9:30 am
Enjoy stories read out loud, finger plays and songs that encourage early literacy skills in children ages 1 and 2 and their parents or caregivers. American Sign Language is used as part of the program. Siblings are welcome to come along.

Preschool Discover
Tuesdays through May 16 – 10:00 am
This weekly story time is for children 3 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers and includes stories, flannel boards and activities along with a craft. Beginning April 18th, story times will be held on Tuesday only. Registration is required so that enough materials are provided. Register today by calling 570-523-1172 or visiting the library.

What's the Big Idea?
Thursday, May 4 – 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
A monthly STEM program uses stories to focus on science and math skills for pre-K and kindergarten children and their families. This month's theme is "growth." Registration is requested so that enough materials are provided but walk-ins are welcomed. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Mom’s Night Out
Thursday, May 11 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Join us for some kid-free fun and get to know some fellow moms from the area. Drop the kids off next door with Miss Mary for a PJ party then enjoy snacks, mocktails, coloring, and crafting while chatting with other parents. Ol' Miss Mary had a Farm...
Friday, May 19 – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Children hear stories about the farm. Following story time, children can explore learning centers, milk a cow, make a puppet and possibly meet a chick. We are getting eggs again on April 25th and hope they are hatched by the time we have this program.

Movie Night at the Library
Monday, May 22 – 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Join us for a movie and enjoy some popcorn. No registration required.
