Baby Discover
Fridays, 11:00 am

Stories, nursery rhymes and finger plays for babies up to one year old and their parents or caregivers. Young toddlers are also welcomed. Held every Friday of the month. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Toddler Discover
Tuesdays, 9:30 am

This weekly story time is for children one to two years-old and their parents or caregivers and includes stories, flannel boards and activities. Sign language is included in some sessions. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Preschool Discover
Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 10:00 am

This weekly story time is for children 3 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers and includes stories, flannel boards and activities along with a craft. Tales for Tails
April – By Appointment

Ryley the Reading Dog loves to have children read to him at the library, especially children who may be a bit shy about reading aloud or want to improve reading skills. Call 570-523-1172 or stop by the circulation desk to schedule a time with Ryley.

A.B.C. Play with Me
Wednesday, April 4, 11, & 18 – 10:00 am – 11:00 am

A Parent/Child program for children ages 12 to 40 months and their parents/caregivers. In addition to an uninterrupted hour of play, a resource professional from the community is present to talk with parents/caregivers about specific topics, which include literacy, nutrition, speech and language, music and movement, and child development. Parents need to register so that enough materials are provided. Walk-ins will be able to participate if spots are available. Lego Night
Thursday, April 12 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Whether you're a great Lego builder or a first timer, this is the place for you! Work on your own creation or build together as a team. The library provides the Legos, while the kids provide the imagination. All materials must stay at the library, so bring a camera to capture your creations, which are displayed in the library until the next Lego night. Lego club meets the 2nd Thursday of every month. Crazy 8s Math Club
Thursday, April 26 – 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Crazy 8s, for children in 3rd through 5th grade, is a collection of math activities that gets kids to think of math as play. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

PA One Book Program
Thursday, April 19 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

In conjunction with the Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child Early Literacy Program, children will be given a copy of My Cousin Momo by Zachariah Ohora. Earth Day Celebration
Monday, April 23 – 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Tom Catalano Poetry Reading
Tuesday, April 24 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

In conjunction with National Poetry month, Tom Catalano reads poems from his book Rhymes for Kids. Mr. Catalano believes that poetry should be easy to read, easy to understand, and fun. Discover Your Inner Zen
Thursday, May 3 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
