Toddler Discover
Tuesdays, 9:30 am

This weekly story time is for children one to two years-old and their parents or caregivers and includes stories, flannel boards and activities. Sign language is included in some sessions. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Preschool Discover
Tuesdays, 10:00 am

This weekly story time is for children 3 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers and includes stories, flannel boards and activities along with a craft. Registration is required so that enough materials are provided. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Baby Discover
Fridays, 11:00 am

Stories, nursery rhymes and finger plays for babies up to one year old and their parents or caregivers. Young toddlers are also welcomed. Held every Friday of the month. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Play-K
August 21, 22, & 23 – 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

A series of programs that allow children entering kindergarten to “play kindergarten” using activities and materials around themes that align with PA Early Learning Standards. This program funded by the Cruise into Kindergarten initiative with materials and curriculum provided by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. A.B.C. Play With Me Parent/Child Workshop
5 Week Program Offered Wednesdays & Saturdays
Program Dates: September 5, September 8, September 12, September 15, September 19,
September 22, September 26 September 29, October 3 and October 6
10:00 am - 11:00 am

A Parent/Child program for children ages 12 to 40 months and their parents/caregivers. In addition to an uninterrupted hour of play, a resource professional from the community is present to talk with parents/caregivers about specific topics, which include literacy, nutrition, speech and language, music and movement, and child development. These are the themes for the 5 weeks; Week #1: Music and Movement, Week #2: Speech and Language, Week #3: Child Development, Week #4: Food and Nutrition
Week #5: Early Literacy/Reading. Parents need to register so that enough materials are provided. Walk-ins may participate if spots are available. Register today by calling 570-523-1172 or visiting the library.

Lego Night
Thursday, September 13 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month

Whether you're a great Lego builder or a first timer, this is the place for you! Work on your own creation or build together as a team. The library provides the Legos, while the kids provide the imagination. All materials must stay at the library, so bring a camera to capture your creations, which are displayed in the library until the next Lego night. Lego club meets the 2nd Thursday of every month.

Beginning ASL
Starting Thursday, September 20 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Meets every 3rd Thursday through December

Come learn and practice basic beginner ASL (American Sign Language) for children 5-12 years old. This class builds on the previous week's instruction, so regular attendance is encouraged. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library or registering online.

Crazy 8s Math Club
Thursday, September 27 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Meets every 4th Thursday through December

Crazy 8s, for children in 3rd through 5th, is a collection of math activities that gets kids to think of math as play.
