The Bloomsburg Children’s Museum, 2 West Seventh Street, Bloomsburg is pleased to announce its offerings for the month of November.

November 2, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
iMAKE Art & Science Class Series: Birds-on-a-wire Project

This a-la-carte class series offers both art and science projects for children ages 6-12. Pick which projects you like best or try them all! $8 per child for one class or $60 for a 10-class punch card. Spaces are limited to 15 students per class. Call the museum to RSVP. Walk-ins are first come, first-served.

First Friday at the Museum – exhibits open until 8 p.m.

6-7 p.m.
Cultural Café - Global Meets Local: Colombia
Join us for an evening of Colombian culture and food. Included with regular admission. Museum stays open until 8 pm.
7-8 p.m.
Expecting Parents Resource Class: What is Lamaze?
This FREE monthly class is led by experienced childbirth educator and doula, Virginia Rivenbark. Enjoy refreshments and meet other expecting parents. Check Facebook for details. Spaces are limited, please RSVP by emailing preparingforbirthandbeyond@yahoo.com or calling the museum.

November 4, 1-2:30 p.m.
Circuits: Cub Scout & Boy Scout Badge

Create a simple circuit and design your own light up work of art. Scouts must pre-register. Program is limited to 12 children per session (minimum of 8). $15/Scout (includes museum admission & Fun Patch).

November 7 and 14, 1-1:45 p.m.
Homeschool Physical Education Class

Taught by professional gym instructor, Katie Rude. Every other Tuesday from 1-1:45 p.m. Designed for ages 3-teen. Runs for 10 sessions.  $8/child or $60 punch card for ten classes. Registration recommended. Walk-ins are welcome but the space is limited.

Spark Lab: Bringing Science to Life: Science of Gingerbread

Invent, experiment, and explore at this monthly lab that ignites curiosity about the world around us. Free with regular admission.

November 14, Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 p.m.
First Lego League Jr.

This ten week class is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6-10. Create and test a Team Model using a Lego WeDo robotics kit to show your ideas. Registration required.

November 18, 10-11 am
Paint Me a Story- A Penguin Story

This Saturday morning storytime-art-studio-mashup is a whole lot of fun for your little ones ages 3-5. Storytime ignites preschoolers’ imaginations for creating hands-on art activities exploring colorful book themes and characters. Build language skills, color recognition, and small motor skills. Call the museum to RSVP. Free with regular admission. Adult must stay with child during program.

November 18, 1-2:30 p.m.

Two Dollar Tuesday

$2 admission all day! The Exchange Art Cart will host a hands-on art project from 10 am-2 pm.

November 25
Turkey Day

Families are invited to a day of feathery fun at the museum with turkey crafts and games, plus get your picture taken with live turkeys! Wear a turkey on your shirt for $1 off.

Gingerbread House Competition and Display
Registration now open for the Second Annual Gingerbread House Competition and Display from December 9-31. Enter your own creation – adult, family, and kids’ categories. Compete for prizes. Registration form and rules available on the website.

Competitive Science Fair
Registration also open for the Competitive Science Fair on January 18, 2018. Registration forms due November 17.The Children’s Museum is a non-profit organization with a mission to enrich the lives of people in the 10-county region by fostering a lifelong love of learning through interactive programs and exhibits that bring out the imagination in every child and the child in every visitor.
