"Aerial Photography of the Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway”

The Union County Historical Society will host the dinner/program "Aerial Photography of the Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway” on Thursday, April 11, 6 PM at the Carriage Corner Restaurant, Route 45, Mifflinburg, PA.

Brian Benfer of New Columbia will give a presentation of his aerial photography of construction of the Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway project. The Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway (CSVT), is a planned 10.84-mile highway bypass from Rte 15 near Selinsgrove, north to Winfield, with a new bridge over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River to Point Township, Northumberland County. Benfer started taking photos of the CSVT in 2016. See the construction of this major project from a whole different perspective – from the air!

The program follows a buffet dinner with champagne chicken, carved ham, twice-baked potatoes, rice pilaf, green bean medley, salad and rolls, carrot cake or chocolate-peanut butter cake, and beverages.

PRE-PAID RESERVATIONS, at $26 per person, ARE DUE BY APRIL 1. Send checks to UCHS, 103 S. 2nd St., Lewisburg, PA 17837, or pay on-line on the UCHS website: www.unioncountyhistoricalsociety.org
