The Special Stitches knitting group welcomes all skill levels. Registration is not required.

Thursday’s Threads Cross-Stitch Class
Thursdays, 10:00 am
Thursday’s Threads, an adult class for cross-stitchers, meets at Herr Memorial Library. Register by calling the library at 570-966-0831.

Game On for Teens
Thursdays, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Get your game on at the library! Play board games and video games provided by the library. Teens are invited to bring in games they want to share. Food and refreshments are provided. No registration is required.

Anime & Manga Club for Teens
Monday, October 16 – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Share your love for Japanese anime and manga with other fans! Watching anime on our big screen, draw, and share your favorite series. This month we will be trying our hand at Bubble Tea. Yum! No registration is required.

Spooky Snoopy Craft Night
Tuesday, October 17 – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Come make some creepy crafts! No registration required.

Hexaflexagon Extravaganza
Saturday, October 21 – 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Martin Gardner's (the man who discovered hexafelxagons) birthday is October 21! Let's celebrate and make hexa-sensational-hexaflexagons. Snacks provided and no registration is required.

80’s Dinner & Auction Party
Saturday, October 21 – 5:30 pm
Tickets are now on sale for the Herr Memorial Library’s 80’s Dinner & Auction Party slated for Saturday, October 21 at the Rusty Rail Brewing Co. in Mifflinburg. Hoppy hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:30. Get ready to bust a move as this year’s auction includes 80’s games, 80’s music with dancing and a photo booth. Come dressed in your best 80’s attire for the costume contest which is optional, of course. Cost is $40 per person and tickets are available from any board member, advisory board member or at the circulation desk at the library at 500 Market Street in Mifflinburg.

Zombie Fest
Monday, October 23 – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
We are going to eat brai-- I mean play the zombie Olympics 2017! And totally won't be eating any brains. Be ready for snacks and prizes. No registration required.

Jack-O-Lantern Contest with Mayor Cooney
Thursday, October 26 – 7:00 pm
Bring your Halloween creativity and your carved pumpkin to the jack-o-lantern contest presented by Mayor Cooney. Judging begins at 7:30 pm and prize ribbons are given for these categories: scariest, most creative, traditional, happiest and best jack-o-lantern from a home-grown pumpkin. There are three age groups 9 and under, 10 through 17 and 18 and over. Please do not bring candles or flames just battery lights only. No registration required and fun for all ages!

Last Minute Costumes
Monday, October 30 – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Still need a costume? Come on over and make something amazing out of ordinary household objects. No registration required.

PA CareerLink® is visiting the library via The Link, an ADA accessible mobile career center with seven computers, internet access, printing and a presentation screen. The Link offers professional staff support for job matching, career guidance, workforce training and employer recruitment. No registration required.

Makey Makey Makerspace for Teens
Tuesday, November 7 – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
We will be using Makey Makey to transform everyday objects into tech gadgets. A piano out of Bananas? Yup. Mario with Playdough? Yup. The possibilities are endless! No registration required.

Random Fandom: Harry Potter
Saturday, November 4 – 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Calling all Potterheads! Come geek out over all things Harry Potter. We'll be playing games, making crafts, and more! Snacks provided and no registration is required.

Teen Advisory Board Meeting
Monday, November 6 – 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Have you ever wanted to plan events? Throw parties? Ever been interested in volunteering? Helping your community? If you said yes to any of those questions you should come to our first Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting! For teens in 6th-12th grade. Snacks and no registration!

Pancake Art for Teens
Monday, November 6 – 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Try your hand at making art with the tastiest medium imaginable: PANCAKES. No registration is required.

One Night Ultimate Werewolf for Teens
Monday, November 13 – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Join us in playing some rounds of a game night favorite, "One Night Ultimate Werewolf." Each player is given a single card, which they secretly view, giving them a special power to help the Villager or Werewolf team. It's a lot of fun. Come play! No registration required.

Kindness Rocks
Saturday, November 18 – 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Drop on by and spread kindness through rocks. We'll be painting up rocks with uplifting messages and then hiding them around the commutation. No registration required and open to all ages!

Mugsgiving for Teens
Monday, November 20 – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Join us to give thanks to our kitchen companion that is always there for us--THE MICROWAVE.
We will be making mug cakes using basic ingredients and the microwave. After we eat our goodies, we will decorate the mugs and have a nice new mug to use during the holidays (or to show off your new culinary skills). Registration recommended. Register by calling 570-966-0831, stopping by the circulation desk of the library or registering online.
