Open Call Typography Show at the Exchange Gallery

Arts & Museum Exhibits

February 6, 2018 to April 6, 2018

Exchange, The

"Zounds!  I was never so bethumped with words . . ."

. . . said William Shakespeare.

Now let's see what words -- and what they LOOK like -- mean to you.  The Exchange Gallery will host an open-call Typography Show from February 26th through April 6th, 2018.

We encourage artists of any age and level of experience, working in any medium, to submit artwork that involves typography -- "the arrangement and appearance of lettering".  This can include posters, text, an inspirational quote, or even a simple word that you find meaningful.  We charge no entry fee, and you may set the price of your work; as with all of our shows, the artist receives 80% of the sale price.  We will accept 2D or 3D works, as long as they fit through the front door.  Work due by Saturday, February 24th, when we will have the Gallery open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The reception will take place on Saturday, March 3rd, simultaneous with Artspace's reception for “Art Through the Ages Redux”, work by Carol Cillo and Steve Getz.
