Now- May 11: Lewisburg Arts Council 50th Anniversary Celebratory Exhibits

The Lewisburg Arts Council is celebrating its golden anniversary in 2019! The Arts Council was officially incorporated in 1969 and has been going strong ever since. In addition, this year is the 50th Lewisburg Arts Festival – now part of the two-week Celebration of the Arts (April 26-May 11).

Two exhibits celebrate some of this 50-year history: “Art in Retrograde: 50 Years of Festival Art” shows some of the earliest and some of the most recent posters and programs for the Lewisburg Arts Festival and Celebration. Dozens of items are on exhibit at Gallery 255, Public Library for Union County for the entire month of April.

“Twenty Years of Featured Artists” highlights 15 former Featured Artists with both new and familiar work. The exhibit will run from April 13 through May 11, Tuesday to Saturday, at Faustina Gallery, 229 Market Street, Lewisburg. A public artists reception for the Featured Artist exhibit will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 1 to 3 pm. Both exhibits are free and open to the public.
