About Chet Davis:

Chet Davis
Paxinos , Pennsylvania - United States
Acrylics - Portraits & Figures

"Art is the visual manifestation of the soul's desperate concerns".
- James Hillman.
I don't think anyone has defined art better.

My paintings deal with my deep concern for the universal human spirit. The subject matter is usually derived from personal experiences and relationships and how imagination influences the memories of these encounters.

I have been an artist and art educator in Central Pennsylvania for four decades, teaching at all levels incuding Luzerne County Community College, Alvernia Univrsity and Misericordia University.

My work has been exhibited extensively in the middle Atlantic states and is in private and corporate collections throughout that region and Europe.
